Trans-Port 2023 ends on a positive note: The next version is announced for 2024

The main meeting of the maritime-port and logistics industry for Latin America, Trans-Port 2023, which was held at the Metropolitan Santiago convention center, ended on Wednesday, July 26, after presenting a rich program focused on innovation, digitization, decarbonization, and the use of technology and collaborative work as key elements for the industry. In its IX version of the International Congress “Net Zero – Digital: Building New Standards for a Transport and Foreign Trade Ecosystem”, the options for cutting greenhouse gas emissions and the digital strategy that is currently required were presented, taking advantage of all the emerging technologies of recent times, delivering new value to industries. The congress was attended by 42 speakers from 10 countries in the Americas and Europe, both from the public and private sectors, with extensive experience and expertise in the maritime port world. The executive director of Trans-Port, Rodrigo Lobo, stated that “development through digitalization, net zero strategies and innovation in maritime-port logistics are key to continue growing at a national level. Today we are happy for the scope achieved in our international congress, which had a large portfolio of exhibitors and an important participation of visitors”. He also indicated that “Trans-Port 2023 presented the ideal space to learn about the progress of public policies in digital transformation, from the perspective of maritime, port, foreign trade, transport and government authorities. We closed this year with the participation of more than 1,000 professionals, who were part of a congress focused on digital transformation, technological development, and strengthening the sustainability of the maritime port world. These themes are key to advance the future, always thinking in the development and capabilities of the industry. In the exhibition and discussion of the congress, which featured a plenary session, three panels of talks and three other dialogues, which analyzed relevant topics for the maritime-port and logistics sector, among them, how Net-Zero is incorporated into the business of maritime and logistics ecosystems; public-private coordination and collaborative technologies; new collaborative frontiers in the port land interface; the use of emerging technology to minimize port and supply chain security risks; and new planning and management capabilities driven by Digital Twin port. The program of international panels, linked to the present and future of the industry, sought to contribute to the economic development of the participating countries, providing solutions for the correct maritime-port and logistics operation. The congress ended with a networking meeting, where attendees exchanged ideas and impressions, establishing business relationships and networking, being the ideal space between supply and demand of the industry, knowing new opportunities for innovation and development of the sector. TRANS-PORT 2024 The new version of Trans-Port 2024 was announced in view of the importance of continuing to promote the development of the maritime-port and foreign trade logistics industry, to continue to provide new tools and strengthen the relationship between companies, and to foster innovation and Net Zero in the industry. In this context, the executive director of Trans-Port, Rodrigo Lobo, made a special call to be part of the new version 2024. “After the culmination of the largest international congress in the country, and with the participation of high authorities, we are sure that Chile will be able to continue growing strongly and offer an important development at local and international level. For this reason, we leave you specially invited to the X International Exhibition and Congress Trans-Port 2024”. The event organized by FISA, of the GL events Group, will continue to provide international meetings, seeking to enhance trade, create jobs, and be a contribution to the economic recovery of the country through new businesses and the interconnection between the various economic areas, both nationally and internationally. Among its most recent projects in 2023 are Expo Hospital, CfiAgrotech, Security Expo, Expo Vivienda and Enloce.
