-The international meeting represents an opportunity for the development of the sector, the public-private relationship, and the analysis of the maritime-port world today. The most important international congress and exhibition of the maritime-port sector in Chile, Tran-Port 2023, to be held on July 26, 2023 at the convention center, Metropolitan Santiago, will be attended by the Minister of Transport and Telecommunications, Juan Carlos Muñoz, who committed his participation thanking him for his role as Honorary President of the exhibition. “We are pleased to participate in this edition of Trans-Port 2023, an event that has established itself as a space for relations between key public and private actors in the logistics and port sector. Therefore, it is a challenge to once again hold the Honorary Presidency of this meeting, where fundamental aspects of today and tomorrow of this industry, so important for Chile, will be addressed, such as the promotion of new businesses, coordination to improve the efficiency of the operation of logistics chains and strengthen the performance of our ports”, said the Minister of Transport and Telecommunications, Juan Carlos Muñoz. Along the same lines, the Secretary of State added that “as the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications, we are firmly committed to strengthening our port-logistics system. To this end, we are advancing in key initiatives in terms of policy; regulatory adaptation; planning of the necessary infrastructure along the entire logistics chain; technological adaptation and coordination of the different public and private actors, in order to meet the challenges we face as a country”. For his part, FISA’s deputy general manager, Rodrigo Lobo, expressed his gratitude for the support of the highest representative of the Government in matters of maritime transport and logistics in the country. “We are happy to have the support and backing of Minister Juan Carlos Muñoz, in this meeting that will be a collaborative space for the relationship of companies and to discuss the contingency and the future of the industry”. Additionally, Lobo said “we want to bring together the exponents of the industry that will help to boost trade, job creation, being a boost in the economic recovery of the country through new business and the relationship between the various areas of the maritime-port sector, both nationally and internationally”. The new version of Trans-Port 2023 will include representatives from Europe, from countries such as Denmark, Spain, Germany, France and the Netherlands. From the Americas, the event highlights representatives from the United States, Brazil and Uruguay, among others. INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS The IX International Congress Trans-Port 2023 has convened this year the maritime, port and foreign trade logistics industry to reflect on the challenges of “Net Zero – Digital: Building new standards for a transport and foreign trade ecosystem”. The congress program includes the first plenary session “Integral challenges between logistics ecosystems, territories and environment”, where there will be two international speakers, representing the port and logistics cities of Barcelona and Rotterdam. The program will continue interspersed with six panels called “Trans-Port Talks” (3) and “Trans-Port Dialogues” (3), which will include keynote speeches reflecting national and international developments, with reflections from industry experts, which will continue with rounds of questions coordinated by a moderator. The Trans-Port Talks will address three important topics of global impact for the maritime-port industry: the transition process towards decarbonization, cybersecurity in the digital transformation, and the use of high-capacity simulators for planning complex operations. For their part, the Trans-Port Dialogues develop the regulatory, digital and operational challenges of the three main ecosystems that make up the international logistics chain of maritime and land operations, with emphasis on the situation in Chile. The congress will end with a networking meeting, where attendees will be able to exchange ideas, opinions and establish business relationships and networks, being the ideal space between supply and demand of the industry, knowing new opportunities for innovation and development of the sector.
